Howdy from Hill Country Texas! You spotted us on the trail delivering our latest custom creation to it’s new home. Hitchman Homestead designs & builds Custom Reproduction Pioneer Wagons for just about any application you can think of. Hitchman wagons are in-use all over the US. We’ve done Backyard Bars, Front yard display, Roadside Business Eye-catchers, Ticket booths, Children’s beds, Vending stands, Restaurant & Hospitality service carts, and a couple of fully certified Food-Trucks. We’ve even got a “Cluck”-Wagon for your chickens!

They are not “REAL” wagons, nor are they restored antique wagons. We build ground-up with new materials. In order to keep them small and light enough for practical use - we build on a steel frame with hidden pneumatic cart wheels. Our signature (handmade) Red Wagon Wheels are decorative and move up for transport. By removing the wagon box floor, axles, steering, suspension and functional wheels we save thousands of pounds and our wagons are able to be easily moved by hand with a dolly, or hitched to any vehicle to be towed (slowly). Our smaller models are made without a floor, allowing you access to the inside of the wagon for eye-level service. A couple of our larger models are built on a flatbed trailer and can be towed at highway speeds. We have not yet done one able to be hauled by horses - but we’re game to try!
A Wagon can take anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks to complete and all are made to order. We do around 5 wagons a year, and are often booked out a season or two. If you NEED a wagon by a specific date - contact us ASAP to get on-schedule in time for your event! We personally deliver & setup anywhere within the continental US (Lower 48).
Pricing on Pre-designed models starts around $5000. Custom builds start at $10,000. (Before delivery) Delivery can cost anywhere from a few hundred dollars (within Texas) to around $3500 for a delivery to either coast.
